Sri Gurudeva Charitable Trust’s journey of service made a modest beginning in the year 1998 – 99 when they lent a helping hand by providing hearing aid to five inmates of the Blind and Deaf School at Mysore at a cost of Rs. 20,000/-. They expanded their service and it has reached far and wide. Sri Jagadish Babu, who strongly believes that poor feeding is the greatest service has been actively associating with the poor feedings whenever and wherever they are organized. To further his mission to help humanity, particularly those in desperate need of a helping hand, he has started an artificial limb center in 2004. In the same year he has performed marriage to a visually challenged couple on the occasion of opening ceremony of Sree seetharama temple in Mangalapalem and provided them with permanent succor. Jagadish Babu with the help of his friends registered the trust in 2007 only to further expand its service.
The trust has initiated serious efforts to set up yet another artificial limb center at Hyderabad and also a permanent artificial limb-manufacturing unit. Nalinesh Babu, who is also vice – president of the trust has been giving training local youth in making artificial limbs. The trust has been holding a series of screening camps to identify the physically challenged persons. It has till now provided artificial limbs to 1500 disabled persons. The trust has been extending its services to the needy both in rural and urban areas apart from tribal areas.
